My name is Michael Player and I began serving as the Pastor of FCC Burrton in March 2023. My wife Angelica and I have been married for 26 years and have two daughters, Allegra and Mia. I am a 10 year veteran of the U.S Army and a former Texas State Trooper. I received my Bachelor's Degree from LeTourneau University and am currently completing my Masters of Divinity degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. I surrendered to God's call to pastoral ministry in 2014 and was ordained by Grace Baptist Church in Kilgore Texas in 2015. From August of 2015 - February 2023, I served as the Associate Pastor of FBC Danville, AR and the Senior Pastor of FBC Centerville.
My greatest passion in life is reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I thrive on going where others aren't willing to go and doing what others won't to reach the lost and disciple the saved. I enjoy just about any and all aspects of life. However, in my free time I primarily engage in two things; spending time with my family and hunting anything that is in season. My ministry philosophy is simple, love God, love people, preach Jesus and lead others straight to Him.
